Tollywood Lacks Unity: Thaman at Akhanda 2 Success Meet_我的网站

A |     At a time when the makers of Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 expected a lot of support from the industry when the film was suddenly postponed, they reportedly got very little backing, according to the film’s composer Thaman S. At the Akhanda 2 press conference held in Hyderabad on Sunday, the music director’s comments hogged the limelight more than anything else. He expressed concern over detractors for spreading negativity about Akhanda 2's financial issues.          We are not here as a strong unit: Thaman     Akhanda 2 was supposed to release on December 5 but arrived a week later. Thaman questioned the timing of the court case (filed by Eros International), which could have been filed earlier too and why it was only done at the time of release. “This indicates how the world (Tollywood) lacks unity, and we are not here as a strong unit. Unity is strength, and we all should inculcate such thinking.” Thaman stated that after the film was postponed, many spoke about Akhanda 2 in the media but none came to the production and spoke to the producers. “That would have given the filmmakers a lot of strength. Everyone says that producers are nice people but no one comes forward to help and sort the issue. A film is a collaborative effort and the need of the hour is to pat each other.”          ‘Tollywood is inspiring’     Thaman’s comments have once again turned the spotlight on the film industry. He accentuated the need to ‘help each other’ and grow as a cohesive unit, and not individually. “I work in multiple industries, and technicians talk so proudly about how Tollywood has been inspiring.” Talking about what went into composing music for Akhanda 2, Thaman revealed that around 600 technicians worked only on the music departmentò. “We took around 77 days to work on the background score, and only the interval block took around 11 days. B |     Ranveer Singh has reportedly walked out of Farhan Akhtar's Don 3, after the massive success of his new movie Dhurandhar. The report also suggests that it was the actor's decision to discontinue being associated with the project. Now, a fresh report from India Today has claimed that Ranveer has not walked out the movie willingly.          The report further stated that the actor was dropped from the movie due to "unreasonable demands." The report added, "Ranveer Singh hasn’t walked out of Don 3 like the rumour mills claim. It’s actually an entirely different story... To start with, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar offered him Don 3 after he had delivered three colossal flops. They stood by him even after Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved Baiju Bawra because he was considered not saleable at the time."The report also opened up about the scale of the project. Interestingly, Ranveer would have followed both Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's iconic legacies associated with the franchise. Moreover, Farhan Akhtar was reportedly the only filmmaker who had signed on the film with the actor when others had backed out.          Ranveer's recent film Dhurandhar has gained a positive momentum at the box office. Our reviewer gave the movie 3.5 stars. He wrote, "Dhurandhar remains an arresting film, bold in its scale, muscular in its action, textured in its craft, and powered by performances that elevate even its weaker stretches. It is imperfect, overlong, but never dull. And in Akshaye Khanna, it gives Hindi cinema one of its most memorable antagonists in recent years. The action hasn't ended even after 3.5 hours of runtime.
